What Aiko does better
- Simplicity. No model choice and no settings to learn; the developer keeps the model fixed because newer Whisper versions were worse in too many cases.
- Translation to English built in.
- The same purchase covers Mac, iPhone and Vision Pro.
What Saypane offers on Windows
- Speaker labels for interviews and meetings (Pro).
- Meeting recording of your microphone and PC sound (Pro).
- Long files split at pauses and checked for repetition loops.
- Free dictation into any app, in the same program.
Which one to choose
- On a Mac or iPhone, choose Aiko if you want simple, private transcription without speaker labels. Saypane does not run there.
- On Windows, choose Saypane for transcription with speaker labels and dictation, or Vibe if you want a free option.
